Course Description
Teacher in Charge: James Hart.
This course is very focused on real life issues, problem solving and the development of a range of skills and knowledge that will provide students with a wide range of employment opportunities. Early in the year we examine a global study of tourism and its environmental impacts. As we move through the year, we look at geographic decision making in the New Zealand / Pacific region. Lastly, we undertake geographic investigation into our local environment. We visit Milford beach and test the level of pollution for an environmental report.

Students will be given the opportunity to sit literacy/numeracy co-requisites from Year 10.
NCEA Level 1 - following the completion of the first year of implementation of the reduced and revised standards, we will evaluate assessments for 2025.
