Level 1 Physical Education 2025
Course Description

Level 1 Physical Education focuses on students developing physical skills through movement, using the medium of physical activity to develop knowledge of themselves and other people, social skills and positive attitudes and values. As well as examining scientific aspects of movement and by learning about the social and cultural significance of physical activity. This course also involves an outdoor education camp allowing the students to demonstrate safety in the outdoors. Students will participate in a course which is based around a wide range of physical activity which involves both individual and team based. This course is both practical and theory based.
This is a stepping stone to Level 2 Sport Science (L2SPS).

Students will be given the opportunity to sit literacy/numeracy co-requisites from Year 10.
NCEA Level 1 - following the completion of the first year of implementation of the reduced and revised standards, we will evaluate assessments for 2025.
Recommended Prior Learning
Year 10 Physical Education recommended.

Course Costs: $250 approximately
