Level Three Religious Education offers students an advanced exploration of Catholic thought and it's interaction with contemporary society.
Course Highlights
- Bioethics and the Catholic Church: delve into complex ethical dilemmas arising from scientific advancements, examing the Catholic Church's stance on issues
- The Catholic Church in Aotearoa New Zealand: analyse the role and influence of the Catholic Church in New Zealand society, exploring its history, challenges and contributions
- Biblical Interpretation: examine various methods of biblical interpretation, understanding their strengths and limitations. Develop critical analysis skills to interpret and apply biblical texts in contemporary contexts.
This course challenges students to think critically about complex issues, engage in dialigue with diverse perspectives and deepen their understanding of the Christian tradtion in a contemporary world.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
