Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Nigel Bassett.
This course provides students with an introduction to the tourism industry. It recognises the knowledge and skills required as a base for further training in the tourism industry. The course is 100% internally assessed. Unit standard options are: Australia (Travel 5 credits); Pacific Islands (Travel 5 credits); Promoting a New Zealand destination (5 credits). There is an optional field trip to Rotorua in May 2023 to supplement the learning in class.
